The Drinks Report: Phom Tea

The Drinks Report: Phom Tea

This evening I accompanied this beaut of a sunset with a cup of Phom Tea. I was excited to see this tea on Dragon’s Den a few weeks ago (in its previous incarnation as the Teabox Company), as I instantly recognised the boxes from the shops of Liverpool. When I found it in Matta’s I obviously had to snap up a box.

If you asked me about my favourite foods I would always struggle but I can always tell you my favourite flavours and almond is top of that list. Luckily, Phom Tea have made their Deliciously Cherry and Almond with Bakewell lovers like me in mind.

As ever with loose leaf tea I used my Lakeland Silicone Tea Bag to brew this one up in my favourite otter mug. Phom Tea Phom Tea

It’s evident that since working with Kelly Hoppen the box and branding have changed, and I really like them! The box lifts away to reveal a beautiful illustration of the flavours and the intoxicating scent of the tea. From the first look at this tea I knew I was going to love it – full of the vibrant colours of rooibos tea, purple allow flowers and real almond flakes.

All of this carries through into a cup of delicious tea that is almost a pudding in a cup, but isn’t too sweet and is still true to the flavour of the rooibos. Couple this with lovely packaging and an excellent tea brewing experience and you’ve got the perfect accompaniment for your evening.
